Softball Divisions
Softball Majors (formerly Soft A) - Typically 11 & 12 year olds (10 year olds pending a skill evaluation), "Real Softball", 60 foot base paths, 40 foot pitching distance with a 12" ball, ALL kid pitch
Softball Minors (formerly Soft B) - Typically 10 & 9 year olds (8 year old pending a skill evaluation), 60 foot base paths, 35 foot pitching distance with an 11" ball, modified kid pitch where the coach comes in to pitch to a player instead of accepting a walk with modified base running rules
Softball Rookies - Coach Pitch (formerly Soft C) - Typically 7 and 8 year olds (6 year old pending a skill evaluation), 60 foot base paths, coaches pitch with an 11" ball with modified base running rules
Soft Tee (Tee Ball) - Typically 4-6 year olds, Tee Ball with an 11" soft safe ball.
Baseball Divisions
Baseball Majors - Typically 10-12 year olds, "Real Baseball", 60 foot base paths, 46 foot pitching distance (LL Regulation Field), ALL kid pitch, no leading prior to the ball crossing the plate, typically 11-13 kids per team
Baseball Minors- Typically 8, 9, & some 10 year olds, "Real Baseball" with some base stealing limitations, regulation field, all kid pitch and no coach pitch bale out, typically 11-13 kids per team
Baseball Rookies - Coach Pitch - Typically 6 & 7 year olds, regulation field, all coach pitch from a knee or use of mechanical pitch machine, base running limitations, typically 7-8 kids per team.
Tee Ball - 4 & 5 year olds and 6 year old's with no experience, Tee Ball with a soft safe ball, typically 5-6 kids per team.
50/70 (Intermediate) - 11 - 13 year olds, 70 foot base paths with 50 foot pitching distance, "Real Baseball" with leading prior to the pitch. Those 11 & 12 year olds playing Majors can play 50/70 Rec at the same time. This is a unique opportunity to learn and play 50/70 in a relaxed recreation situation while getting more playing time and reps. This is NOT an ALL-STAR team but a Rec team that plays other Rec teams under 50/70 rules in District 12.
