Attention Coaches: The information below details the volunteer safety requirements and steps that each coach must complete for the 2025 season. These are requirements mandated by Little League International and Robbinsville Township law.
Coaches Checklist:
1. JDP Background check (Annual)
2. Copy of Valid Drivers License (Annual)
3. District 12 or State Safety Clinic (Every 3 Years)
4. LLI/CDC Concussion Online Training (Annual)
5. Little League Abuse Awareness for Adults Training (Annual)
6. **Not Required** CPR/AED Training - Provide card if you are already certified (Additional certification dates below)

Details and Information:
1. JPL Background Check (Annual): Little League International (LLI) requires an annual background check performed by the Little Safety Officer using JDP.Once you've completed the volunteer form in Sports Connect, the Safety Officer will trigger request for a background check through JPL. You will receive an email from JPL with the necessary steps to proceed.
2. Copy of Valid Drivers License (Annual): A Copy of your valid drivers license or valid government identification must updated in Sports Connect under the volunteer section. This should be done as early as possible so you can be verified as a volunteer. This is a Little League Charter Rule and Insurance issue.
3. NJ State Safety Clinic and District 12 (Required every 3 Years): Coaches to attend one of the dates below.
NJ State LL Safety Clinic : Thursday, March 6th: 7:30pm - 9:00pm, advance registration is required by March 1, 2025.

- After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
- Names of registered attendees will be sent to RLL as proof of attendance.
District 12 Safety Clinic: Wednesday, March 19th: 7:00pm or Sunday, March 23rd: 11:00am

- Pre-registration is not required.
- Attendance will be based on the Webex generated attendance list.
- Attendees must join via the Webex app.
- Call-ins will not receive credit for attending.
- Please use first and last name when signing into Webex.
4. LLI/CDC Youth Concussion Training (Annual):

5. Little League Abuse Awareness Training (Annual): This on‐line course discusses child abuse and the responsibilities of local government to protect children.

6. **Not Required** AED/CPR Certification Training: We would like to have ONE head coach or assistant coach for each division certified. If you already have AED/CPR Training and Certifications please notify Brett Gallo. [email protected]
Class 1: Friday, March 28th at 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Class 2: Monday, April 7th from 6:00pm - 9:00pm

Coaches Participation:
Player Evaluations
Managers and Coaches will not be eligible to attend evaluations if 1, 2, and 3 above are not completed. The only exception will be for #1 above if you are waiting results of your background check update and have either performed your fingerprinting or have a valid date and provide proof via receipt to the RLL Safety Officer.
Draft/Selections
Managers and one "Named Coach" will not be eligible to be Managers or "Named Coaches" and attend the draft if 1, 2, and 3 above are not completed. The only exception will be for #1 above if you are waiting results of your background check update and have either performed your fingerprinting or have a valid date and provide proof via receipt to the RLL Safety Officer.
Practices/Games
Coaches and or Manager's can not be included in Team Practices or Games until 1,2, and 3 above are completed.
